Finding Hemp in New World

Hemp is a plant that you can find in New World, and you can use a sickle to harvest it and obtain Fibers, which are used to weave Linen and craft a fishing rod. However, if you don’t know where to look, it may take a long while before you’re eventually able to get a fishing rod of your own.

In general, Hemp can be found in green fields near water bodies. This means that you’ll want to look near rivers and lakes, and then scout the area for a large purple plant that looks like the one in the screenshot down below:

Hemp is also most concentrated in the Monarch’s Bluffs region of the world, though they can also be found in First Light, Windsward, and Everfall. They’re a lot more sparse in these areas, though, so your best bet is to just head to Monarch’s Bludds as soon as you’re able to.

We’ve included a screenshot of the world map down below to give you an idea of where to look when you’re trying to farm it, courtesy of the folks working on the New World Interactive Map.

The plants will respawn every five minutes or so, same as the minerals, so it can be worth your time to stick around and gather as much as possible before heading back to a settlement.
