With the release of Genshin Impact’s latest update, players can go fishing in the vast waters throughout the world. You’ll need to catch a bunch of fish such as the Ramei Angelfish if you’re going to get the Catch. But what happens if you need to catch another fish after netting one already? What is the Genshin Impact fish respawn time? Here’s everything you need to know on when fish respawn and whether or not there’s any way you can get around it.
What Is the Genshin Impact Fish Respawn Time?
While you may have read online that it takes three days for fish to respawn, this isn’t true.
What we do know is that fish will respawn in an area by the daily reset. This means you’ll need to wait around 24 hours before you’ll confidently be able to go back to an area and catch the same fish again.
This is quite some time to wait, though, and as such you’re probably wondering if there’s any way you can fast forward time in game and speed up the fish respawn.
Forcing Fish Respawn By Changing Day/ Night Cycle
The good news is that yes, it appears as though you can force the fish respawn time by changing the in-game clock. Fish work on a day/ night cycle, so by changing the in-game time from day to night or vice-versa should cause more fish to respawn in a particular body of water.
To change the time, go to the Paimon menu and then select the ‘Time’ option. You’ll now see a clock with different times of the day marked around it. Simply move the big hand of the clock to the time of day you want to set it to, then confirm your choice.
It’s worth noting that you can’t skip more than a single day, as this would mess with the daily reset that we mentioned above. However, this is certainly worth doing if you’re looking to grind out fish for The Catch, the four-star polearm and one of the best weapons for new character Raiden Shogun.
