FIFA 22‘s just gone live for EA Play subscribers who now have 10 hours of early access. While some things have changed, a lot has stayed the same. Even so, sometimes you need a refresher on the basics and that’s what we’re here for today. Here’s how to do low crosses in FIFA 22, which can be used to get you easy goals.
When you’re crossing the ball into the box, you’ll want to make sure you’re keeping it varied. Crossing the ball in the air to a player in the middle will become predictable if you keep doing it.
That’s why you should use low crosses to mix things up. You can play it into a player running in at the back post for an easy tap in, or low cross it to a play on the edge of the box for them to hit it first time at goal.
How to Do a Low Cross in FIFA 22
There are two different ways to perform a low cross in the game. These are the traditional low cross and the driven pass.
To perform a low cross, triple tap the cross button (Square on PS4/ PS5, X on Xbox One/ Xbox Series X|S, and Y on Nintendo Switch) and direct your cross with the left analog stick.
If you want a little more power on your pass, and want it to go right to your player’s feet, the driven pass is another handy alternative.
To do a driven pass, hold R1 and press X on PS4/ PS5, hold RB and press A on Xbox One/ Xbox Series X|S, or hold R and press B on Nintendo Switch, while using the left analog stick to direct it again.
We’ve broken down the inputs for both the driven pass and low cross in FIFA 22 for each console in the table below.
