Deathloop: Can You Change Character Appearance? Answered

Deathloop is the latest action game from Bethesda and Arkane Lyon, and it’s shaping up to be a pretty unique experience so far. Players take control of Colt, who’s tasked with assassinating various targets, but a wrench is thrown into his plans when Julianna, another assassin, shows up to take him out. Players are able to play as Julianna to invade other people’s worlds, which makes for a pretty interesting PvP and PvE hybrid experience. If you’re wondering whether you’ll be able to change your character appearance in Deathloop, here’s what you need to know.

Can You Change Character Appearance in Deathloop?

The short answer is, no, you can’t actually change the appearance of Colt and Julianna. Their physical features are all fixed, and if you were hoping for some sort of character creator or hairstyle options to choose from, unfortunately you’re out of luck here.

However, it is possible to change their clothing, and you can even unlock new clothes and cosmetics for them as you continue playing. At the time of writing, the only way to unlock more clothing options is by playing as Julianna in multiplayer mode. The more you play as her, the more you’ll level up, which will allow you to unlock new clothing options in the game.

From the main menu, choose the Loadout option to sort your characters’ inventories and equipment. Hover over the character’s avatar with your cursor and you’ll see an option called Change Style. Select that, and you’ll be taken to a new menu where you’re able to select from the various outfits you’ve already unlocked in the game.

Pick the outfit that you like best, and confirm your selection, and you’re good to go. These are purely for cosmetic purposes and they don’t have any gameplay effect, so feel free to go with whichever outfit you think looks best.
