The new release window is Q1 2022, and it comes with an apology to the fans that were looking forward to the game. Originally, the game was supposed to release this year.

Unfortunately, the press release explains, the COVID-19 pandemic is still ongoing and it has been affecting the development schedule. The developers have judge that a further improvement in quality is required to deliver a product that will satisfy everyone.

We don’t yet know the platforms The King of Fighters XV will support, and this new press release offers no hint on that front.

Giuseppe Nelva

Proud weeb hailing from sunny (not as much as people think) Italy and long-standing gamer since the age of Mattel Intellivision and Sinclair ZX Spectrum. Definitely a multi-platform gamer, he still holds the old dear PC nearest to his heart, while not disregarding any console on the market. RPGs (of any nationality), MMORPGs, and visual novels are his daily bread, but he enjoys almost every other genre, prominently racing simulators, action and sandbox games. He is also one of the few surviving fans on Earth of the flight simulator genre.
