The announced trailer, shown below gives players their first look at the largest and most diverse open-world in the series to-date, Forza Horizon 5’s Mexico.

The trailer shows off the tropical landscapes, serene waterfalls, volcanoes, sprawling deserts and long-winding roads of Mexico. Dune buggies, and the AMG Project 1 Forza Edition were also shown zipping their way across the incredibly detailed world.

In the gameplay reveal that followed, it was also confirmed that Forza Horizon 5 will include Ray-tracing (at least in the Forza Vista mode), and will run in 4K with HDR that really has to be seen to be truly appreciated. You can check out the developer walkthrough below. Volumetric lighting effects were also shown in gameplay.

Outside of the usual racing, players will also seemingly be racing through sandstorms, demolishing piñatas in a race against the clock and your friends, or using the new Events Lab to create your game modes and rules to play with friends and other players online.

To help you play with friends (both new and old) is Forza Link. This new system will help track the status and progress of players in Forza Horizon 5 online and helps you link up and play together.

Players can use a quick chat system in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen, and when Forza Link notices your friends playing a mini-game or certain activity it thinks you enjoy, it’ll automatically get your friend to drop you an invite so you don’t miss out.

You can check out the full gameplay demo below.

Forza Horizon 5 will release on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on November 9.
