While the Thanos skin was introduced into Fortnite back in 2019, it’s not shown up in the game ever since, and wasn’t made available for players to add to their collection of skins. Until now! The Thanos skin has returned and can both be earned if you took part in the Thanos Cup, or can be purchased from the Item Shop at a later date. Here’s how to get the Thanos skin in Fortnite.
How Many Points to Get Thanos Skin in Fortnite
First off, it’s worth noting that if you didn’t take part in the Thanos Cup yesterday then you’ve missed your chance. The cup only ran up until June 21, and was a Duos tournament.
To enter, players had to have a level 30 Epic Games account, two-factor authentication enabled, and a teammate. All teams then had to play 10 matches in a 3-hour window, and the Duos teams that came in specific rankings or higher in their region would get the Thanos skin and Infinity Gauntlet back bling.
The regional placement requirements to unlock the Thanos skin in Fortnite are as follows:
- Europe: Rank 1st – 3,375th
- NA East: Rank 1st – 1,575th
- NA West: Rank 1st – 600th
- Brazil: Rank 1st – 1,050th
- Asia: Rank 1st – 375th
- Oceania: Rank 1st – 225th
- Middle East – Rank 1st – 300th
Fortnite Thanos Skin Item Shop Release Date
If you missed the Thanos cup, fear not! The skin is also coming to Fortnite’s Item Shop on June 26 at 8pm ET.
Unfortunately at this moment in time, Epic have yet to share how much the skin will cost. We’d predict around 1,600 V-Bucks for the skin on its own, or 2,000 V-Bucks for a bundle with the Infinity Gauntlet back bling.
