That’s why we’ve compiled this guide on the subject. Below you’ll find a detailed breakdown of how the mode is unlocked, whether there’s multiplayer, and more.

How to Unlock Mercenaries Mode in Resident Evil Village

Resident Evil Village’s Mercenaries mode is easy to unlock, or at least it is if you were planning on playing through the base game.

The mode is unlocked in the Bonuses menu automatically after you complete the main game. You’ll still need to purchase it using Challenge Points – or CP – but it’ll cost an amount that is impossible not to have after clearing the game.

It can then be accessed by selecting the Mercenaries option from the bonus menu. From there, you’ll be able to play through survival rounds against a variety of enemies in different areas. The longer you survive, and the more kills you get in a row, the higher your score will be.

Is The Mercenaries Mode Multiplayer?

It’s worth noting, however, that you’ll only be able to play Resident Evil Village’s Mercenaries mode solo. There isn’t any multiplayer component, and you won’t be able to play alongside your friends in this mode.

It’s a bit of a bummer, but not the end of the world. After all, Resident Evil Re:Verse is still slated for release in the near future, and will allow RE fans to take part in online competitive multiplayer matches.

Hopefully this cleared up how to unlock the Mercenaries mode in Resident Evil Village. For more on the game, check out our guide wiki or any of the related articles down below.
