Wilson confirmed that the new game is in development by the “largest ever development team” aiming to deliver the “definitive Battlefield experience for Battlefield fans.”

“The game has everything fans love about Battlefield, Epic Scale, all-out warfare, unexpected moments, and game-changing destruction, and it takes it all to the next level through the power of next-gen consoles and PC.”

Wilson then confirmed that EA is excited to reveal the game in June and a “lot more” will be showcased in the summer.

The strategy is to grow the Battlefield franchise via “best-in-class gameplay, deeply engaged live service, the new mobile experience, and new ways to play that will be introduced to new players all over the world.”

Jorgensen also confirmed that the game will launch in the Holiday season.

The publisher provided the first details about the next mainline Battlefield game back in February and recently announced that it will come alongside a second entry for mobile platforms.
