All MCU Phase 4 Release Dates & Titles Revealed So Far

Marvel has had a huge week so far, as the company posted a brand new video titled Marvel Studios Celebrates The Movies that featured a ton of important information. In this video, a slew of MCU Phase 4 movie titles and release dates that had yet to be confirmed were unveiled, leaving fans to speculate on the meaning of each title treatment.

With 11 reveals in total, we wanted to put them all together here and go over their significance. Here is a recap of all of the huge MCU Phase 4 reveals that we know of as of today.

Black Widow

After being delayed three times, originally scheduled to release on May 2020, Black Widow gets a solid release date of July 9, 2021. Taking place before the events of Avengers Infinity War, the movie will follow Natasha Romanova, Black Widow, exploring her origins and time spent as a freelance operator.

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings

The second film of Phase 4 of the MCU, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is Marvel’s first foray into martial arts. It arrives in theaters on Sept. 3, 2021.

Eternals

One of the most talked about upcoming Phase 4 films, the Eternals finally got a release date of Nov. 5, 2021. Some additional footage of the film was also shown, showing off its cast of characters, which includes Chloe Zhao, Kit Harington, Richard Madden, Angelina Jolie, Kumail Nanjiani, Millie Bobby Brown, and much more.

Spider-Man: No Way Home

While Spider-Man Now Way Home didn’t get any new information revealed regarding its plot or characters, it did at least get a confirmed release date of Dec. 17, 2021. Here is to hoping the multiverse of Spider-Man is inbound.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is another one of the pillars of the next Phase, as it follows the Sorcerer Supreme, Doctor Strange, and Scarlett Witch, Wanda Maximoff, as they try to save all of reality. The film will be the fifth of this new era, releasing on March 25, 2022.

Thor: Love and Thunder

Thor: Love and Thunder sees the return of Jane Foster, who now takes up the mantle of Thor while simultaneously undergoing treatment for Cancer. It is set to release in theaters on May 6, 2022.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever

While this is another film that we don’t know much about story or direction-wise, especially considering the unfortunate passing of the film’s star, Chadwick Boseman, we now at least know that the next installment in the Black Panther series will be called Black Panther Wakanda Forever. It is set for release on July 8, 2022.

The Marvels

Even though The Marvels might not seem like a big blockbuster compared to other films on this list, it is sure to have a huge impact on the franchise, as it introduces Kamala Khan as Ms. Marvel. You can check this one out when it releases on Nov. 11, 2022.

Ant-Man and the Wasp Quantumania

Ant-Man and the Wasp Quantumania is sure to be a wild ride, as the film is set to explore the quantum realm even more following the events of the previous film, as well as everything that occurred in Avengers Endgame. Scott Lang and Hope Pym return on Feb. 17, 2023.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3 has a lot of questions to answer, especially when it pertains to Gamora’s relationship with the crew following her return. It is set to release May 5, 2023.

While this technically may not have been an actual movie reveal, and is quite possibly just the symbol for the next Phase of the MCU, there is a good chance that this will be a mock-up for the poster for Fantastic Four. Only time will tell which one this will end up being.
