Throughout the course of Biomutant, you’ll come across a number of rotation puzzles. These puzzles essentially task you with turning different dials in order to turn a monitor or machine on, or at least get it to whir into life a little bit. In this guide, we’ll explain exactly how to solve rotation puzzles in Biomutant, so you can continue on your adventure leaving no stone unturned.
Solving Rotation Puzzles
As mentioned above, rotation puzzles often involve at least two nodes that you need to rotate. They’ll have orange and white colored sections on them, as shown in the screenshot below.
What you need to do in these is simply match up the colored sections of each node with the larger lines on the machine itself. For example, in the Biomutant rotation puzzle above, you’d want to rotate each of the three nodes until they’re in the positions shown below.
To select which node is selected, use up and down on the left analog stick. To rotate the node use RB and LB to rotate it in that direction.
The number of moves you have to solve each Biomutant rotation puzzle is shown on the left-hand side of the screen, and is determined by your character’s Intellect stat. The higher the stat, the more moves you’ll have to complete the puzzle.
Don’t worry if you don’t solve the rotation puzzle in the amount of moves you have on your first try. If you fail, you’ll take a bit of damage but can immediately try the puzzle again.
From our time playing through Biomutant, the rotation puzzles don’t really get too difficult. As long as you keep increasing your Intellect stat fairly frequently, you’ll have a good amount of moves to solve each one, too.
