Biomutant PS5 Enhancements Explained

As explained by the Biomutant Twitter account, the developer has had to ‘deactivate native 4K on PS5 for the release version of the game.’ As a result, the game is only currently running at native 1080p upscaled to 4K on the PS5.

The Twitter account also didn’t explain whether or not the PS5 would run at 60FPS, but from our own experience we can confirm that the game does in fact run at the buttery smooth framerate.

Biomutant Xbox Series X Enhancements

Good news for Xbox fans, as Biomutant will take advantage of the Xbox Series X’s extra power. At launch on May 25, Biomutant will play on Xbox Series X at a native 4K resolution at 60 FPS.

This makes the Series X the best console to experience Biomutant on.

What About Biomutant on Xbox Series S?

Developer Experiment 101 confirmed that the Xbox Series S will run the game at 1440p at 30FPS with dynamic resolution scaling.

Native PS5 and Xbox Series X Versions Coming Soon

It’s worth pointing out that even though Biomutant does run better on the PS5 and Xbox Series X, these enhancements noted above come from simply playing the base Xbox One and PS4 versions of the game on the respective current-gen systems.

Developer Experiment 101 has confirmed that PS5 and Xbox Series X versions are coming, but they can’t share any more details yet. Once we have more information, we’ll update this post and let you know all about them.
