All of the weapons in Nier Replicant are upgradeable, and you’ll need to do so throughout the game in order to keep pace with the enemies you’ll encounter. Each weapon upgrade requires different materials in addition to gold, and some of the stronger arms require one material in particular. Here’s how to get Twisted Ring in Nier Replicant.
How to Get Twisted Ring in Nier Replicant
Twisted Ring is a somewhat rare drop that you’ll receive after beating Shades in Nier Replicant. They’re dropped by the the tall and lanky variety which can be found patrolling the Northern Plains or at the top of the Lost Shrine during the second half of the game. You’re looking for the ones that use melee attacks and are covered in circular shields.
To increase your chances of Rings dropping after defeating these enemies, be sure to equip the Mah line of words to your weapons or magic. They’ll increase the drop rate of items from enemies, and can drastically improve your chances of getting rare drops from fallen foes.
What Twisted Rings Are Used for
As for what you use Twisted Rings for in Nier Replicant, the options are fairly limited.
Like we mentioned earlier, you’ll be using Twisted Rings to upgrade weapons. Otherwise, there aren’t any side quests that require them to be completed.
Fortunately, this means that they’re a great item to sell if you’re strapped for cash. They’re worth 360 Gold each, and can be sold to any merchant in the world.
