Nier Replicant is being re-released for PC and consoles this week. Not only does it feature touched up graphics and animations, but it also includes quite a bit of new content. All of the core content is still intact here, but Replicant also features a new dungeon as well as some extra story bits to help tie it together with the events of Nier Automata. Here’s how to access the new mermaid dungeon in Nier Replicant.
Accessing the Mermaid Dungeon in Nier Replicant
You’ll be glad to know that the mermaid dungeon has actually been baked into the main story of Nier Replicant, which means that it can’t be missed. You do have to play through the game until you get to the second half to access it, but if you’re planning to see things through to the end anyway, you’ll get to experience this new dungeon eventually.
Once you reach the second half of the game, you’ll need to first hit up the Forest of Myth and Junk Heap as per Popola’s directions. After that, Grimoire Weiss will suggest heading back to see if Popola’s made any progress with locating the other lost fragments.
She’ll then send you off on a quest that requires you to go to Seafront to investigate the missing people cases there. Simply follow the main story quests and you’ll eventually be led to the shipwreck just off the coast of the beach. To get inside, go to the far end to find a hole that has been blocked by some debris.
Head inside, and you’ll get to explore the ship while also trying to locate the missing citizens from Seafront.
That’s all you need to know about how to access the mermaid dungeon in Nier Replicant. Be sure to search for Twinfinite or check our guide wiki for more tips and information on the game.
