How to Catch the Giant Cat Fish in Nier Replicant Ver 1.22

The Giant Cat Fish can be caught from the river running along the Eastern Road. You’ll need to use Carp as bait, which can be caught from the water by the Waterwheel in your Home Town by using Earthworms as bait.

Once you’ve got some Carp, head to the river running by the Eastern Road and press Circle/ B to cast out your line.

The Giant Cat Fish is a little trickier to catch than other fish in Nier Replicant, as you’ll need to pull the line up on the first nibble, rather than having a bit more leeway as you do with others.

As soon as you see your the rod bend press Circle/ B to begin reeling it in. From this point on, reeling in the Giant Cat Fish is the same as reeling in any other fist.

Pull the rod in the opposite direction that the fish is moving in order to reduce its HP to zero. Once the HP is fully depleted, you’ll reel in the Giant Cat Fish.

That’s everything you need to know to catch the Giant Cat Fish in Nier Replicant Ver 1.22. If you’re looking for more handy guides, our Nier Replicant wiki is jam-packed with tips and tricks to help you get the most out of the game.
