The Locked & Loaded update for Fallout 76 is now available for all platforms and adds additional loadout slots, another CAMP location, more Daily Ops content, and more.
According to the patch notes, Fallout 76 players will now be able to save specific loadouts of S.P.E.C.I.A.L. attributes. Players will receive two loadout slots after level 25, which can be renamed and changed at any time for free with the new “Punch Card Machine.” The new machine will be placed at Train Stations throughout Appalachia, in The Crater, and at Foundation, though players at level 25 will receive a plan to be able to build the machine at their own CAMP.
The update also gives players another CAMP to build a home away from home. Players will have access to two CAMP slots, but only CAMP can be active at one time. The other CAMP will be “stored” and cannot “load into the world, show icons to other players on the Map, or produce resources from Resource Generators.” Having multiple CAMPs also means that inventories will be shared between Vending Machines, Refrigerators, Fermenters, and other storage types between the locations.
The Daily Ops also added a new mode called Decryption, where players must defeat three enemy “Code Carriers” and use their codes to disable three Radio Interceptors. Enemy waves become stronger after each disabled radio, and have a default mutation that makes “their attacks more deadly and causes them to ignore your armor resistances.”
The Locked & Loaded update is out now on Fallout 76 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Bethesda.net, Microsoft Store, and Steam. It is the first big update for 2021 with three more coming each season, according to the game’s roadmap.
