Today Bandai Namco hosted Tales of Festival, and finally brought back Tales of Arise from over a year of limbo.
The last time we had seen the game was at Tokyo Game Show 2019, but at long last, it’s back.
Tales of Arise was showcased in a new trailer that provided a look visuals that feel slightly different, but still focusing on the conflict between the planets of Dahna and Rena and the two main characters hailing from each planet.
Another thing that did not change (for now) are the platforms, while the video ends with the promise of more news in the spring.
Tales of Arise was originally slated for 2020 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC, but it was delayed due to the effects of the COVID-19 Pandemic.
If you want to take a look at the game, you can enjoy the previous trailer, another trailer in English, some screenshots and artwork, the first batch of images, and the original announcement trailer.
If you’re unfamiliar with the game (considering that a long time has passed since the latest reveal), you can read an official description below.
“On the planet Dahna, reverence has always been given to Rena, the planet in the sky, as a land of the righteous and divine. Stories handed down for generations became truth and masked reality for the people of Dahna. For 300 years, Rena has ruled over Dahna, pillaging the planet of its resources and stripping people of their dignity and freedom.
Our tale begins with two people, born on different worlds, each looking to change their fate and create a new future. Featuring a new cast of characters, updated combat, and classic Tales of gameplay mechanics, experience the next chapter in the world-famous Tale of series, Tales of Arise.”
