If you’re going to be successful in the world of Valheim, then you’ll need to know every little trick in the book. Even if that trick seems like a relatively simple task. Here’s everything you need to know about how to plant seeds in Valheim.
How To Plant Seeds in Valheim
If you happen to acquire some seeds while playing Valheim, then your instinct to plant them right away may have kicked in. But don’t get discouraged and toss them as soon as you realize you can’t just plant them instantly.
These little seeds can eventually grow extremely helpful crops that will help sustain your whole crew.
But before you get into that, you’re going to need a Cultivator to help make the soil suitable for planting seeds. To make the Cultivator, you’ll need five Bronze and Core Wood.
You can make a single piece of Bronze by combining two Valheim Copper and one Tin in a Forge. The Core Wood can be found by chopping down pine trees in the Black Forest.
Once you have five of each resource, then head back to your Forge and craft your Cultivator. From here, it’s relatively smooth sailing.
Use your Cultivator and regular soil to turn it into farmland that you can use to plant seeds. Plants require enough space and time to grow, so don’t crowd them and don’t just sit there waiting for them to start producing food.
While the plants are growing, you can spend that time gathering other useful resources throughout Valheim.
Time needed: 10 minutes
