Is Valheim Coming to PS4 & PS5? Answered

First, it’s important to remember that although Valheim has technically launched, it’s only done as part of Steam’s Early Access program. That means it’s essentially a work-in-progress. The developer’s first goal will be to release a full version of the game on PC before it even considers a console port.

However, that doesn’t mean a console version for PS4/PS5 won’t happen. On the contrary, Iron Gate has already spoken to the matter of on its official Valheim FAQ page:

Valheim will be released on Windows and Linux via Steam. A Mac-version will be released if there is any significant demand for it. There are no plans to release on other platforms as of the time of writing but we won’t rule out console versions in the future.

So, there you have it: a console version is likely to happen if Iron Gate considers there to be sufficient demand. Given this FAQ was written before the game’s recent sales milestone, you’d have to think the team is now more bullish about the prospect of expanding the game’s reach with different ports.
