Persona 5 Strikers, Is There Romance? Answered

Persona 5 Strikers is a Persona game through and through, providing the same style and story elements you’d expect to find in a mainline title. It isn’t without its differences from the mainline games, though, which is why you’ll probably end up wondering: Is there romance in Persona 5 Strikers, or has that aspect of the series been removed? Well, fortunately for you, we’ve done the research and found the answers you’re looking for.

Is There Romance in Persona 5 Strikers? Answered

To put it simply, no, there is not any romance in Persona 5 Strikers.

The closest the game gets to any romance is the option to ask one of the characters to join you on a Ferris wheel in one of the later cities. Even then though, it has no larger impact on the wider story and is mainly there to provide some flavor text regarding how each of the game’s characters feels about the events unfolding in the story.

It’s a bit of a bummer, but not surprising when you look at the rest of the game. Other elements like the Confidant system have been removed as well, and replaced with the more streamlined Bond system which reflects how close you are to your group of friends as a whole.

Will Romance Options Be Added in Later?

As for whether proper romance options will be added to Persona 5 Strikers later as DLC, the answer is a pretty firm no.

In addition to the game having already been out for quite a while in Japan with no signs of the feature being added in, there’s also the design of the game to consider. It has been designed around the Bond system as opposed to Confidant mechanics, and adding them back in could create more problems than it solves.

As such, it’s best to let go of the hope that you’ll be able to sweep your character of choice off their feet.

Hopefully this cleared up whether or not there’s romance in Persona 5 Strikers. For more on the game, check out our Persona 5 Strikers wiki.
