Persona 5 Strikers is the latest title that takes the beloved characters of Atlus’ JRPG and blends it with Koei Tecmo’s Dynasty Warriors hack-and-slash gameplay. While Persona 5 was a single-player experience, Dynasty Warriors games tend to offer some sort of local or online multiplayer so you can play with friends. In this guide, we’ll run you through the Persona 5 Strikers multiplayer situation.
Is There Online Multiplayer in Persona 5 Strikers?
Unfortunately, no. Persona 5 Strikers does not have online multiplayer at all.
There has been no explanation as to why there’s no multiplayer in the game, though given the added focus on the story of the Phantom Thieves, there’s certainly still ample reason to enjoy the game solo.
Is There Local Multiplayer?
Nope, there’s no multiplayer mode whatsoever in Persona 5 Strikers. If you’re looking for some hack-and-slash gameplay with friends, you’ll need to look at another Dynasty Warriors title instead.
This may come as disappointing news, especially given the Dynasty Warriors series has often featured a local couch co-op multiplayer mode for friends to slash their way through hordes of enemies together.
What’s more, it’s highly unlikely that the game will get multiplayer at a later date, post-launch. While it’s certainly not impossible, few games have introduced multiplayer modes after their initial launch. Though, as we saw with Ghost of Tsushima Legends last year, it is possible.
Should developers P Studio and Omega Force choose to release a multiplayer mode for the game, we’ll be sure to update this post and let you know.
That’s everything you need to know on whether or not there is online multiplayer in Persona 5 Strikers. For more on the game, check out our wiki, or see more of our coverage below.
