Today Square Enix released a new gallery of images dedicated to the upcoming JRPG NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139…
The images focus on the locations showcased during the latest gameplay reveals, including the desert city of Façade and the hero’s village.
We get to take a look at the art for the King of Façade and Fyra, which we’ll meet in the city.
We take a look at combat, which combines various actions. We have strong and weak attacks, the ability to circle dodge behind an enemy, and counterattacks after a guard.
Our hero can also use magic thanks to the Grimoire Weiss, summoning spears and giant fists. By accumulating power and then releasing it all at once, it’s also possible to increase the magic’s effectiveness.
Weapon types available are swords, greatswords, and spears. They can be strengthened at certain shops, which unlock their Weapon story.
Words also make a comeback, letting you add effects to weapon after receiving them by killing enemies. There are over 100 Words in the game.
The game will be released on April 22, 2021, in Japan and Asia, while the west will have to wait one day longer. NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139 will come in North America and Europe on April 23, 2021, for PS4, Xbox, and PC.
A while ago we saw the first gameplay and learned that the mobile game NieR Re[in]carnation is coming to North America and Europe. More gameplay was showcased at The Game Awards.
