Today Arc System Works reached out with a press release to announce an open beta for its upcoming fighting game Guilty Gear -Strive-.
The open beta will launch on Feb. 19 at 12:00 JST and will end on Feb. 21 at 23:59 JST. No pre-download will be available.
Those who pre-ordered the game on PlayStation will get early access on Feb. 18 at 12:00 JST with a short pre-download window starting at 10:00 JST on the same day.
13 charactees will be playable (excluding Mito Anji and the character who has not been revealed yet) alongside the following modes: Offline VS (against human players or AI), Tutorial, Training, and Online VS.
We already know that the next character reveal is coming this month. They’ll be the last of the initial roster of the game, which will include 15 characters.
That being said, five more are coming with the first character pass. They have not yet been revealed.
If you want to see more of Guilty Gear –Strive–, you can check out the latest gameplay, the original announcement from EVO 2019, an earlier trailer showcasing Sol Badguy and Ky Kiske, and teasing May. Another trailer revealed Axl Low, one showcased more of his gameplay, the previous promotional video unveiled Chipp Zanuff and Potemkin, the one showcasing more of the two and unveiled Faust, another with more gameplay, one showcasing Millia Rage and Zato=1, another revealing Leo Whitefang and Nagoriyuki, one showcasing Giovanna, and one focusing on Mito Anji.
The game will release worldwide on April 9 for PS5, PS4, and PC.
