Stardew Valley Update 1.5 for Consoles Submitted for Certification, Should Drop in the Next 2 Weeks

At the end of 2020, developer Eric Barone (better known as ConcernedApe in the community) surprised Stardew Valley players by releasing another major update for the game. This was a big one, as it added a whole slew of new content to the game such as ostriches, a new dungeon, a new beach layout, new tools, as well as a ton of quality-of-life improvements and little tweaks to improve the overall experience even further.

The update was only released for PC, and PC players have had about a month to check out the new content since then. But for those on consoles, ConcernedApe tweeted this week stating that the patch has just been submitted for certification.

While there aren’t any solid details on how long exactly the certification process will take, Barone did provide an estimate that the update should be released at the end of January, or very early in February. Which means that console players would only have to wait two weeks or so before the update is finally available to them.

We’ll keep you updated as more info comes our way, and when a release date is confirmed for patch 1.5. Stardew Valley is now available on PC and consoles.
