As you’re making your way through each of the six new locations in Hitman 3, there will no doubt come a time where you want to save your progress. Whether it’s to have a break from the ‘World of Assassination’ or just so you can quickly return to a particular point or in case you mess up your stealthy run, you’ll no doubt want to know how to manually save your progress, as well as when the game auto-saves, so you don’t have to retrace any of your steps. In this guide, we’ll talk you through how to save your game in Hitman 3.
How to Save Your Game
Hitman 3 features both an auto-save feature, as well as the option to manually save your progress as and when you want during a level.
The game will auto-save your progress semi-regularly, often after you make significant progress in a level. For example, it might be when you kill a target, enter a new area of that locale, change your outfit, or pick up a new item. You’ll know the game is auto-saving by the barcode icon that appears in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen, alongside the word ‘Saving.’ This will change to a tick and ‘Saved’ when the auto-save has completed.
How to Manually Save in Hitman 3
If you’d rather save your progress at another point, it’s possible to do this at any time by pressing the Options button on PS4/PS5 and the Menu button Xbox One/ Xbox Series X|S and selecting the ‘Save’ option.
From here, select a file slot that you wish to save in, and press X/ A. Then you’ll be free to exit out of the game, and pick up from where you left off next time you load up the game.
