Hitman 3 takes Agent 47’s escapades to a new level in incredible locations. There are more complex ways to take out your targets than ever before, but the trusty pistol or sniper are still just as satisfying. However, you can’t be wandering around fancy parties waving your gun around. So that you’re not drawing unwanted attention to yourself, here’s everything you need to know about how to holster your weapon in Hitman 3.
Using the left and right d-pad buttons, you’re able to cycle through Agent 47’s many weapons and select one you’d like to use to take out a target, or maybe even just an innocent passer by if you’re not the law-abiding assassin you’re expected to be. However, if some enemies see you with a weapon, your cover will be blown and the mission will effectively be botched.
How to Holster Your Weapon in Hitman 3
All you need to do is press up on the d-pad if you’re playing on console (tab button by default on PC) to put your weapon away.
You’ll then see that Agent 47 has nothing in his hands and you’ll be able to wander into dangerous areas without being spotted and attacked.
You’ll then be able to use the left and right buttons again if you want to bring the weapon back out. Since stealth is so important in Hitman 3, you’ll need to holster your weapon regularly to avoid messing up the mission.
It’s also worth noting that sometimes you’ll be searched before entering areas of levels, which will negate even holstering your weapon. You’ll need to leave it somewhere outside the area, or do a better job of hiding it somewhere you can reach it once you’re inside the restricted area.
That’s everything you need to know about how to holster your weapon in Hitman 3. For more tips and tricks on the game, be sure to search for Twinfinite or check out our guide wiki.
