Hitman 3 ups the ante for IO Interactive’s series, putting Agent 47 in more spectacular locations and giving you an even larger selection of weapons to utilize. If you’re looking to switch things up a little when approaching a target, here’s everything you need to know about how to change weapons in Hitman 3.
As usual, Agent 47 will have access to all manner of weapons, from his trusty pistol to a variety of traps. Some are much better than others in certain situations, with stabbing them in the neck with a screwdriver being a little more subtle than blowing them up with explosives.
How to Change Weapons in Hitman 3
Your weapons are all kept in your inventory with any items you’ve found during the level. To open up your inventory, use the left or right buttons on the d-pad to cycle through everything Agent 47 has on him.
Once you’ve found the weapon you’re after, press A if you’re on Xbox (X on PlayStation) and Agent 47 will equip it. You’ll see the icon of the weapon go white in the bottom right corner of the screen. You can then press up on the d-pad to put the weapon away and take it out as and when you’d like.
If you’re using big weapons, such as snipers or shotguns, Agent 47 will put it on his back instead of hiding it away, as you’d expect from its size. That does change how inconspicuous you are, with enemies getting suspicious if someone who shouldn’t be carrying a gun wanders into a place with a sniper. You might have to drop it on the floor or hide it somewhere to reach certain areas.
