Genshin Impact got its official release near the end of 2020, and has quickly become one of the most popular free-to-play gacha games on the market right now. It features a vast open-world for players to explore, and it looks absolutely beautiful. It can also be a pretty dangerous environment, especially if you’re idle for a bit. Here’s how to get struck by lightning in Genshin Impact.
Getting Struck by Lightning in Genshin Impact
First off, yes, it is entirely possible to get struck by lightning in this game, and while that might seem like something you’d want to avoid at all costs, it’s actually worth doing so at least once. The only thing to note is that it’s pretty RNG and luck-based, so it might take a bit of time before you get hit with a bolt of lightning.
There is one particular area that has a lot of lightning in the game, and if you head there, you’ll drastically increase your chances of that happening to you. At the very eastern side of the map, you can visit the Guyun Stone Forest, and head just to the west of the dungeon there. We’ve included a screenshot of the location on the map down below.
Once there, just run around and wait for lightning to strike you. Look on the ground for a small glowing blue circle; the circle will indicate where the bolt is about to hit, and you’ll have a couple of seconds to stand in that spot before you miss it.
When you get struck by lightning in this game, you’ll lose HP, but you’ll also get an achievement called Wrath of the Gods. This rewards you with 5 Primogems, which isn’t much, but if you’re looking to get all of the achievements in the game, you’ll need to get struck by lightning at some point.
