How to Open the Nine Pillars in Genshin Impact

First things first, head to the Cuijue Slope region of Liyue and interact with the first pillar. This will activate the questline and should also give you a pretty good idea of what’s in this simple but extremely time-consuming quest.

Of course, you’ll need to be armed with one Stone of Remembrance. You should already have at least one; they’re given as rewards for leveling one of the many Statues of the Seven in Liyue to 10. As you should know by name, leveling a statue requires you to collect and offer Geoculus, a floating orange collectible found scattered across the region.

To activate a pillar, simply scale it and interact when prompted.

Where to Find All Stones of Remembrance

That’s the easy part out of the way. Now it’s a case of finding enough Stones of Remembrance to open all nine pillars, which in turn means leveling all the Statues of the Seven. And yes, you’ve guessed it, that requires collecting all 130 Geoculi in Liyue.

Again, it’s not a tricky task by any means but it is a royal pain in the ass. Thankfully, this handy interactive map spotlights the location of every single one, so all you really need to do is work your way through finding each. Maybe we wait for a rainy day!
