Once again, the battle pass works in the usual way, seeing you earn XP as you play which sees you level up through the 100 tiers and unlock various skins and other cosmetics. While recent seasons have lasted longer with overtime, you’ll have a minimum of ten weeks to reach the cap and unlock all that’s on offer.

How to Get Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5 Battle Pass

To get the Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5 battle pass you’ll need to purchase V-Bucks if you don’t already have some in your account. 1000 V-Bucks is enough to get the basic pack. You’ll likely have earned some from last season’s battle pass, so you can just buy however many you need.

Once you’ve got some, head over to the battle pass tab and press X if you’re on PlayStation (A on Xbox) to select the pass itself. Then, you’ll be given the chance to choose what version you want.

If you want the standard version, it’ll cost you 950 V-Bucks, but you have some other options that reduce the grind. The Battle Bundle is now gone, but you’re able to buy 25 tiers at any time from the store, so you can still get a head start if you want, the purchases will just be separate.

Then, once you’ve confirmed the purchase, an animation will play to show what you’ve unlocked already from the Chapter 2 Season 5 battle pass and you’ll be able to head off to the island to try and complete challenges.
