Cyberpunk 2077: How to Open Inventory & Backpack

Your inventory in Cyberpunk 2077 is where you’re going to find all your weapons, clothing items, crafting materials and just about everything else that V picks up on her adventure across Night City. The problem is, you may be struggling to figure out how to open it up to see what you’ve found. In this guide, we’ll talk you through how to open inventory in Cyberpunk 2077.

Opening Your Inventory in Cyberpunk 2077

To open your inventory, simply press the Menu button on Xbox One or Options button on PS4. On PC, you’re pressing Esc to open up the menu screen and select the ‘Inventory’ option.

This will then open up the screen we’ve shown in the image below, allowing you to change out your weapons and armor by selecting the slot you want to equip it to.

If you’re looking to find your crafting materials and other bits, you’ll want to open your backpack. This can be done by hovering over ‘Inventory’ from the game menu screen and selecting ‘Backpack’ when it appears, or selecting ‘Backpack’ from the inventory screen in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen.

Your Backpack is where you’ll store things like upgrade, item and quickhack components for crafting. You can also select the different filters on the right-hand side of the screen to show all items of a particular type, as shown in the screenshot below.
