Destiny 2 Beyond Light: How to Unlock Stasis Subclasses

Destiny 2: Beyond Light has arrived and it comes with all the usual expansion fixings such as a story campaign, new strikes, and exotic gear. Perhaps the most impactful new feature, though, is the addition of new Stasis subclasses for each of the three primary class. If you’re here, you’re probably wondering how to unlock the new Stasis subclasses in Destiny 2 Beyond Light. Here’s what you need to know.

How to Unlock Stasis Subclass in Destiny 2 Beyond Light

Throughout the campaign of Destiny 2 Beyond Light, you’ll dabble with Stasis in particular key moments but you’ll never fully control it or have the ability to switch it on and off.

You do, obviously, eventually get access to this power, as has been advertised for months, but you’ll need to wait a bit before you can and even further if you want to customize it to your liking.

You’ll unlock Stasis fully at the end the Beyond Light campaign after defeating Eramis and all of her main followers. Just continue on with the main quest line and after you beat the campaign, the quest line provided by the Exo Stranger. You’ll be able to flip to Stasis as you would any other subclass.

Eventually, you’ll also gain access to other Darkness-based subclasses, but that’s not currently in the game. Our guess is we’ll get one new one with each confirmed expansion over the next three years (including Beyond Light).

The Exo Stranger quest line will give you the opportunity to get new ability options along with Aspects, which allow you to further augment and customize your abilities. You’ll need to grind quite a bit for them, but it’s worth it if you’re looking to create a perfect Stasis subclass. Just make sure to get Salvation’s Grip ASAP as you’ll need that to progress in the Exo Stranger’s quest line eventually and get aspects.
