Monster Hunter: World continues to be at the top with 16.4 million units shipped, followed by Resident Evil 7 biohazard that trails far behind with 8.3 million units.

Resident Evil 2 (the 2021 remake) is now at 7.5 million units, while Monster Hunter World: Iceborne has managed to reach 6.6 million units.

Interestingly, Street Fighter V has finally reached 5 million units.

Devil May Cry 5 is close to 4 million, sitting at 3.9, while the recent Resident Evil 3 remake has shipped 3 million units.

Apparently the remake of the third chapter of the Resident Evil franchise didn’t quite make it yet to the sales numbers of its original game (3.5 million) albeit it’s coming close. On the other hand, Resident Evil 2 has far outsold its predecessor (4.96 million).

It’s certainly worth mentioning that this data is updated to September 30, 2020, and all the numbers represent sales to retailers and not directly to brick and mortar customers plus digital downloads, albeit the growing percentage of digital sales of Capcom’s games is narrowing the already small gap between these sales statistics.
