You’ll find the snak in the Boiling Bay biome of Snaktooth Island, in the cave by the coast. Head inside and you’ll see them flying around a pool of lava at all times of the day.

How to Catch Flamin Cheepoof in Bugsnax

First of all, you’ll need to make sure that there are Paletoss inside the lava cave. If they’re outside while you’re there, go close to them and they’ll chase you, so lead them inside. Once in there, try and avoid them if you can, as their freeze effect will make catching the Flamin Cheepoof in Bugsnax much trickier.

After you’ve scanned the Bugsnax you’re after, revealing its flight path, what you need to do is jump onto one of the platforms in the middle of the lava lake. It can be finicky, since you’ll catch on fire if you touch the lava, so take time jumping over to the right platform.

Once you’re on one, shoot your Trip Shot from the platform to the wall above the Snakpod you’ll see on the outer wall on the left side of the cave. You’ll see in the screenshot below exactly where to aim it, and you’ll need the line to pass at least close to the flight path of the Flamin Cheepoof.

When the snak flies past the line you’ve shot out, it’ll get stunned and fall to the ground, at which point a Paletoss will run over to it, if there’s one nearby.

Then, it’ll put the Flamin Cheepoof’s flame out, leaving it on the floor to be caught. Once the Paletoss has moved away, go over to the stunned Cheepoof and press square to grab it in your net and add it to your collection.
