Black Ops Cold War: How to Get Point Blank Kills

There are a ton of different weapon skins for players to unlock in Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War, but they’re not always a walk in the park to unlock. Some of them require players getting kills in certain ways with the weapon they want to unlock the skin for. One you may be tasked with getting in Black Ops Cold War is Point Blank Kills. The problem is, it’s never really stated how to get them in-game.

How to Get Point Blank Kills in Black Ops Cold War

Point Blank Kills, as the name suggests, are earned when you kill an enemy at incredibly close proximity. As in, standing literally right next to the enemy you’re trying to kill.

Because of how close you need to be for a kill to register for a Point Blank award, these are actually a lot harder than they may first seem.

Our own advice is to sprint and use the slide option to quickly cut down the distance between you and your target, while also making it more difficult for them to land shots on you. Once you’re up close, fire from the hip and aim for the upper-body and head to deal the most damage.

With a bit of luck, this should cause the ‘Point Blank’ medal to appear on-screen, indicating that you’ve added another one to your tally towards that sweet weapon skin you’ve had your eye on.

While you may not always be free to choose the weapon you get Point Blank kills with, the obvious, best weapon-type for getting these are shotguns. They’re incredibly effective at short range, to the point they’re almost always a one-hit-kill.

Best Way to Grind Point Blank Kills

The best way to grind out Point Blank kills in Black Ops Cold War is to head into any ‘Hardcore’ mode.

This increases bullet damage and reduces player health, meaning that you’ll only need a few rounds landing on an enemy to kill them.

Get up close, let off a few shots from the hip, and you should have some quick and easy Point Blank kills.

That’s everything you need to know on how to get Point Blank kills in Black Ops Cold War. Head over to our wiki for more tips and tricks, or check out more of our coverage on the game below.
