Koei Tecmo announced an interesting event about its upcoming JRPG Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & the Secret Fairy.
Following the example of the first game of the series, the new one will also get its own life-size statue of Ryza.
The original statue portraying Ryza first had her debut at Tokyo Game Show 2019, where it proved very popular among visitors. A limited run of copies was then put for sale for a pretty crazy price.
Wonderful Works produced the original statue and also a much smaller version for those who enjoy figures that can be placed on a shelf. Now they’re working on a new figure for Atelier Ryza 2 and on the brand new 1:1 scale statue that will portray Ryza’s new look.
According to the announcement, the new statue will be unveiled on November 28 at the Sofmap Akiba Amusement Building, which incidentally is one of my favorite stores in Tokyo and I miss it a lot.
The event will bring together the game’s producer Junzo Hosoi, Wonderful Works CEO Kazuyoshi Ito, and Ryza’s official cosplayer Moe Iori.
