One of the first buildings we recommend for your settlement is a stable, and this is where you’ll be able to not only customize your horse and raven but also enhance their abilities, too.

Building a stable costs a fairly standard amount of resources — around 600 Supplies and 40 Raw Material. It is available right from the very first settlement level.

Once it’s opened you can then spend Silver on customization options and new abilities. But you don’t actually have to use your own stable since there are actually several dotted around the open-world, all denoted with the horse icon on your map.

As you’ll discover, the Riding Training tab in the Stable and Aviary offers some really handy upgrades, such as your horse’s ability to swim. This makes traversing rivers and lakes so much easier. Additionally, you can upgrade its stamina and health.

These upgrades typically cost around 300 Silver each, and they’re certainly worth the money.

Customization options to change the appearance of your horse, meanwhile, cost around the same at 260-470 depending on which option you go for. There are 15 or so to choose from.

As for your Raven, there are only six options and they each cost a fairly heft 400-900 Silver.
