Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: How to Call Longship

Assassins's Creed Valhalla, longship

Eivor isn’t alone in his plight to establish the Raven Clan, forge new alliances across England, and raid some unfortunate monasteries and towns along the way. Supporting them are their crew of Viking warriors, ever-ready to lend a hand in combat or simply transport Eivor along the meandering rivers of the English countryside. Here’s how to call a Longship in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.

At any moment, Eivor can summon their crew of Viking raiders at the sound of a horn. All you need to do is hold the down button on your d-pad and select the appropriate action. Holding the button brings up a wheel of different icons, and the Longship is over on the left-hand side of the menu. Just cycle your analog stick or mouse over to the icon and select it.

Eivor will then sound their horn and the Longship will appear. It’s a similar process to calling a mount. Now all you need to do is either hop on or swim out to the ship to board her and traverse the open-world by sail.

England’s rivers criss-cross their way through the countryside, meaning you’ll never be too far from your target location. As a result, sailing or rowing your Longship is more or less your primary mode of transport in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.

Remember that you can customize your Longship from the Dockyard at your settlement simply by visiting the location and choosing from the various options. More info pending.
