You’ve got all manner of weapons and gadgets at your disposal in Watch Dogs Legion. During some of your missions as you hack your way across London, you’ll probably want to switch weapons to help you address a particular scenario. In this guide, we’ll talk you through how to switch weapons in Watch Dogs Legion.

Switching Weapons in Watch Dogs Legion

If you’re looking to simply switch weapons to one you’ve already got equipped, simply press and hold down on the d-pad and use the right analog stick to choose your weapon. Once you’ve selected the weapon, let go of down on the d-pad and your character will change out their weapon.

It’s also possible to change your weapon loadouts in Watch Dogs Legion, so that bringing up the weapon select wheel with down on the d-pad brings up different weapons or gadgets.

To do this, open the menu by pressing the touchpad on PS4 or View button on Xbox One and then selecting the ‘Team’ tab. Choose the character you’re currently controlling, and press X/ A on them to change their equipment.

Switching Weapons in Watch Dogs Legion

  1. Press and hold down on the d-pad.

  2. Use the right analog stick to select the weapon you want to use from the on-screen weapon wheel.

  3. Let go of the d-pad while the weapon is selected to change weapons.

Unlocking More Weapons

To unlock more weapons, you’ll need to spend Tech points. Tech points are unlocked by completing main story missions or by finding them dotted across the map of London.

Once you’ve got tech points, open the menu and go to the ‘Tech’ tab. Here, you’ll be able to unlock more weapons, among other things. These can then be equipped to your character’s loadout from the ‘Team’ menu.
