The streets of London aren’t the friendliest place in Watch Dogs Legion. Helping to enforce the regime of mass surveillance are private militia groups that patrol public areas and pavements. If you’re struggling to prevail in your fight back against the system, you might be wondering how to change difficulty in Watch Dogs Legion. Well, here’s everything you need to know.
There are three difficulty settings that players can choose from in Watch Dogs Legion. These are:
- Easy
- Normal
- Hard
There is also a permadeath mode that players can turn on at the beginning of a game. This means that if one of the NPCs you recruit to DedSec dies during a mission, they’ll be gone forever, rather than simply respawning.
Changing Difficulty in Watch Dogs Legion
To change difficulty, press the Options button on PS4 or Menu button on Xbox One to bring up the Pause menu.
Next, go to Options, and then Gameplay. Here, you’ll then find the ‘Difficulty’ option, where you can switch between Easy, Normal and Hard at your leisure.
It’s also worth pointing out that if you enabled the aforementioned Permadeath mode at the beginning of a save, that it can also be turned off and disabled in the same menu as the other difficulty settings. Keep in mind that if you do turn it off, it cannot be turned back on.
Is There a Difficulty Trophy / Achievement?
The good news is, there is no trophy or achievement tied to beating Watch Dogs Legion on a specific difficulty.
That means you can change difficulty at any time, or play through the game on its ‘Easy’ difficulty setting and still get that Platinum trophy or all 1000 Gamerscore.
