How to Spray While Running in Super Mario Sunshine

It’s fairly easy to spray while running in Super Mario Sunshine, and you can do so immediately after obtaining the FLUDD.

All you need to do is press the ZR button while moving with the Left analog Stick. Doing so will emit a quick burst of water from the FLUDD in whatever direction you’re facing, allowing you to splash and stun targets while moving toward other points of interest.

You can also fire off a steady stream of water by holding down the ZR Button while running. This can be useful for clearing away sludge and grime in front of you to ensure you aren’t slowed down or damaged. Likewise, it’s necessary to do this when trying to spray mobile targets like Shadow Mario.

As with other actions involving the FLUDD though, you’ll be limited in how much you can spray while running. Should your water meter be depleted while you’re carrying out the action, then it will become unavailable until you refill your tank. Likewise, if you try to spray while the tank is already empty, then nothing will come out and your target will remain dry.

That’s all there is to know about how to run and spray in Super Mario Sunshine. For more on the game and the other titles included in the Super Mario 3D All Stars collection, check out our review to see our full thoughts on everything the package includes.
