Today, during a livestream from Tokyo Game Show, Square Enix announced the release date of NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139.
We learn that the game is coming on April 22, 2021, in Japan and Asia, while the west will have to wait one day longer. The game will launch in North America and Europe on April 23, 2021, for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
You can check out the trailer below. It looks absolutely awesome, and honestly, I can’t wait to revisit this classic game.
We learn that the official cover for Japan and Asia will be designed by Akihiko Yoshida, while the one for America and Europe will feature an illustration by Kazuma Koda.
Regardless of which one you like, you shouldn’t worry, as they’ll both be reversible and feature the other version on the other side.
A “White Show Edition” has also been announced, with the Japanese version coming with a pin set, a soundtrack, script books, and an original box. The west will get this edition as well but the content may “vary slightly.”
