What the Three Orange Squares Mean in Modern Warfare & Warzone

The three orange squares refer to packet loss occurring while you’re playing. You might see them appear alongside a bit of lag, which will be when data fails to send between you and a server.

The errors tend to appear at busy times, when a lot of people are trying to access things or play games, so you simply have to play through it and wait for it to clear up.

For the most part, the three orange squares won’t be as troublesome as other server issues, but they can be frustrating nonetheless. Whether something can be done about it on Activision’s end, it’s not quite clear, so you simply have to wait it out.

If you’re struggling with red squares on your screen in Modern Warfare and Warzone, reset your router to see if that helps at all. If not, try contacting your ISP or Activision themselves to see if they have any recommendations for you.
