At its core, Crystal Dynamics’ Marvel’s Avengers is a loot game. Just as in other shared world games like Destiny, the bulk of the gameplay loop revolves around finding new gear to upgrade each character. To that end, there are a bunch of different resources you’ll be collecting along the way. Here’s how to get Nanites and what they’re used for in Avengers Game.
How to Get Nanites & What They’re Used For in Avengers Game
As alluded to above, Nanites are a fairly plentiful resource found scattered throughout Marvel’s Avengers’ various stages, and they’re used to upgrade your gear.
As seen above, Nanites are found in large square boxes that have a purple orb in the middle of them. Collecting more Nanites is just a case of stumbling across these boxes and giving them a good whack with whichever hero you’re using at the time.
In terms of putting them to good use, this is done somewhat automatically when you access your Gear menu (touch-pad/options button, tab across to Gear) and then peruse your collection of different armors for pieces to upgrade.
As we have covered in our dedicated guide on how to boost gear’s Power Level, each different item of gear will demand a certain amount of each resource. Some will require Nanites, while others won’t at all. Therefore, it’s always a good idea to smash as many boxes as you find to gather as much of each as possible — that way you won’t find yourself wanting for more.
That’s everything you should need to know about how to get Nanites and what they’re used for in Marvel’s Avengers. For more useful tips and information on the game, be sure to check out Twinfinite’s extensive guide wiki.
