Getting Catalysts in Avengers Game

To get Catalysts, you’ll need to smash any orange resource crates you see lying around the world during missions.

Resource crates are large, chrome metal boxes that you can smash with a light attack. Catalyst resource crates have a glowing orange orb in the center of them, making them easy to identify.

On top of that, Catalysts can also be obtained by defeating various enemies. If a Catalyst drops from an enemy, make sure to run close to it to pick it up. When you’ve picked it up, it’ll appear on the right-hand side of the screen.

Finally, dismantling your old gear gives you a chance of harvesting some form of resource material, be it Fragments, Nanotubes, Catalysts, or Plasma. It’s seemingly random, so you’re taking a small risk doing it, but if you’re really strapped for Catalysts then this is an option worth considering.

Using Catalysts in Marvel’s Avengers

To use Catalysts, press the touchpad on PS4 or View button on Xbox One and go to your ‘Gear’ screen. From here, use your cursor to select the piece of Gear you want to Power Boost.

At the bottom of the window that appears further detailing the gear, you’ll see the Power Boost resource requirement. In the screenshot below, we need 12 Catalysts.

As long as you’ve got them, press and hold Square on PS4 or X on Xbox One with the gear highlighted to Power Boost your gear. This will increase its Power Level slightly, giving you a quick and easy boost to your superhero’s overall stats and abilities.
