Catalysts are one of the resource materials you’ll use in Marvel’s Avengers to Power Boost your gear. This will increase the gear’s overall Power level slightly. In this guide, we’ll talk you through how to get Catalysts in Avengers Game, and how to use them to Power Boost your gear.
Getting Catalysts in Avengers Game
To get Catalysts, you’ll need to smash any orange resource crates you see lying around the world during missions.
Resource crates are large, chrome metal boxes that you can smash with a light attack. Catalyst resource crates have a glowing orange orb in the center of them, making them easy to identify.
On top of that, Catalysts can also be obtained by defeating various enemies. If a Catalyst drops from an enemy, make sure to run close to it to pick it up. When you’ve picked it up, it’ll appear on the right-hand side of the screen.
Finally, dismantling your old gear gives you a chance of harvesting some form of resource material, be it Fragments, Nanotubes, Catalysts, or Plasma. It’s seemingly random, so you’re taking a small risk doing it, but if you’re really strapped for Catalysts then this is an option worth considering.
