Developed by Supergiant Games, Hades is a brand new action roguelite that’s just left early access and is now available on both PC and Nintendo Switch. Like most other roguelite games, there are tons of different items and weapons you can pick up during your runs to help keep things fresh. Here’s how to use Nectar and get Keepsakes in Hades.
Using Nectar in Hades
During your early runs, it won’t be long before you come across your first jar of Nectar, and it’ll be indicated in the bottom right corner of the screen, where your Keys and Darkness are. It’s not immediately apparent what it’s for, but you can actually give Nectar to NPCs in exchange for rewards.
To do this, simply walk up to any NPC in the game and press the ZR button on Nintendo Switch (or RT if you’re using an Xbox One controller on PC) to gift it. In exchange, you’ll be given a Keepsake, which is an item that you can equip for a variety of bonuses.
All Keepsakes
To equip a Keepsake, you can check the display case in Skelly’s room right before your run to see all the ones you’ve unlocked. Just select the one and confirm your decision to equip it. Once you’ve made your selection, you won’t be able to change your Keepsake again until you’ve defeated a boss, or when you restart a run.
Here’s a list of all the Keepsakes available in Hades so far:
