Genshin Impact: How to Skip Cutscenes & Dialogue

genshin impact skip cutscenes and dialogue

Developer miHoYo has finally released its latest free-to-play open-world action-RPG called Genshin Impact. The game is very similar to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild in the way that it tackles exploration and combat. The game’s anime, cel-shaded aesthetic sure is pretty though, but if you’re trying to figure out how to skip cutscenes and dialogue in Genshin Impact, here’s what you need to know.

How to Skip Cutscenes and Dialogue in Genshin Impact

There are key moments in Genshin Impact’s cutscenes when you’re forced to make a decision of some kind, such as the beginning of the game when you need to choose a character to play as.

Cutscenes like this in Genshin Impact are not able to be skipped due to their importance in the narrative, but you can skip basic dialogue at any time by hitting that X button constantly. There’s no single button that lets you skip through entire conversations in an instant, but you can quickly get past it.

There are also moments when the game introduces you to new areas, such as the first major town that you visit, and these cutscenes are also unable to be skipped.

It’s unfortunate that you cannot skip through everything in Genshin Impact but at least the cutscenes don’t seem to be that long, at least in the opening hours of the game.

If the devs do decide to change this with a new patch or update, then we’ll be sure to update this article accordingly.

And that’s all you need to know about how to skip cutscenes and dialogue in Genshin Impact. If you’re looking for more tips and tricks, be sure to search Twinfinite. You can also scroll down below for related content.
