Where to Find the Friendship Monument in Fortnite

The Friendship Monument can be found in grid reference A3 northwest of Sweaty Sands. We’ve marked the exact location on the map below.

The monument itself is a harkback to the popular hayman and pipeman statues that could be found on the map in previous seasons. For Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 4, they’ve finally found one another in the location listed above, and are high-fiving.

Due to the sheer size of the Friendship Monument, when you make your way to grid reference A3 you should begin to easily see it.

How to Emote at Friendship Monument as Groot

Once you’ve arrived here, stand underneath the monument and open up the emote wheel. Use any emote and once you do Rocket Raccoon will appear by Groot’s side.

It’s worth pointing out that before you can complete this Groot’s Awakening challenge, you will need to have completed the two before it, including finding Baby Groot at the Nursery in Holly Hedges.

You’ll also need to make sure you’ve reached at least level 46 on the Battle Pass, as this unlocks the Battle Brother built-in emote for Groot, which features Rocket Raccoon.

He’ll, for the most part, just hover behind Groot’s back with his little jetpack, always on the lookout for enemies for you to eliminate.
