Dragon’s Dogma Anime TV Series Gets First Trailer Ahead of Netflix Premiere

Today Netflix revealed the first trailer of the brand new anime series based on Capcom’s Dragon’s Dogma franchise, coming on September 17.

Today Netflix revealed the first trailer for the brand new anime series based on Capcom’s Dragon’s Dogma franchise.

It provides a quick look at the story and its characters before the premiere, which will be on September 17.

Here’s how the show is officially described:

“After losing his home to a dragon, Ethan sets out to hunt it down once and for all. A pawn appears by his side and serves to protect his life. But the dangers that lie in wait for Ethan are beyond their imaginations, for when you fight a monster… you just may become one too.”

The Dragon’s Dogma anime is produced by CG animation studio Sublimation which worked on Uchuu Senkan Yamato 2199 and 2202, several Ghost in the Shell productions, the Evangelion 3.0 movie, and more.

It’s directed by Shinya Sugai with Netflix’s Daiki Sakurai as executive producer, while Iku Nishimura of Ghost in the Shell: Arise fame designed the characters.

Dragon’s Dogma producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi and Capcom’s Takashi Kitahara also worked on the anime as co-producers.
